LSM001: Strategic Financial Planning Mastery: Building Integrated Financial Strategies for Sustainable Client Wealth

Speakers

  • Liew Siew Mei

Justification

Financial planning is one of the regulated capital market activity in Malaysia under the Securities Commission Malaysia's licensing framework. As client needs become more complex amid market volatility, inflation, longer life expectancy and changing regulatory expectations, financial planners must deliver integrated, evidence-based advice rather than isolated product recommendations. This programme equips licensed financial planners, wealth managers and capital market professionals with practical competencies to assess clients' financial positions, integrate investment, cash flow, protection, retirement and estate planning, evaluate alternative strategies through financial scenario modelling, and recommend resilient solutions that enhance investor outcomes, strengthen professional advisory standards and support the sustainable development of Malaysia's capital market.

Learning Objectives

  1. Explain the principles of holistic financial planning by analysing clients' financial positions, objectives, risk profiles and financial capacity.
  2. Apply an integrated financial planning framework by aligning cash flow, investment, protection, retirement and estate planning into a comprehensive financial strategy.
  3. Evaluate alternative financial strategies using scenario modelling, financial projections and stress testing to improve long-term client outcomes.
